INDIGENOUS LIBERATION Archive
What is Indigenous Liberation Archive? It refers to the work of a coalition of Indigenous led and decolonial partner organizations in the Netherlands dedicated to a culture of resistance, Indigenous resurgence and healing through community organizing and campaigns of solidarity. Between 2020-2024, the forging of a coalition of Indigenous people (organizations) based in the Netherlands took place around activities on Indigenous Peoples Day, 12th of October, and throughout the year. This website archives both the activities – protests, mock trials at the 1492 Tribunal and the programs organized at Pakhuis de Zwijger – as well as spotlighting of key organizers and voices within the Indigenous diaspora living in the Netherlands through interviews, short videos and photography-interview expo.
Moving forward, this website might host more recorded programs in its archives if this is requested. However, the coalition of Indigenous Liberation is no longer applying for funding. The partners still collaborate under other umbrellas and in new projects. We hope this website can facilitate learning about Indigenous perspectives and inspire solidarity. We also hope this online space can enable more Indigenous people to connect with other Indigenous groups and voices.
